Welcome to Stamford Bridge Gardening Club's website. Here you should be able to find any information you need on the club, including membership, up-coming speakers, trips and our annual show.
Next Months speaker:-
April 4th John Grimshaw. 'A plantsman's garden in North Yorkshire' + AGM!
John Grimshaw is a botanist plantsman and writer and, since 2012 has been director at the Yorkshire Arboretum near Castle Howard. He has written and edited several books as well as having a popular blog, twitter page and a regular column in the RHS's 'The Garden'.
Also at this meeting there will be the opportunity to sign up for (and yes, in most cases pay for!) several trips that are coming up over the next few months. Please see below and the programme page for more information on these.
Plus, don't forget there'll be all the thrills and excitement of the club's AGM!
April 11th Visit Penny Piece Cottages, Kirkbymoorside
This will be a return visit by the club to this beautiful garden in Kirkbymoorside with the promise of some lovely spring plantings of bulbs and more. If you haven't already, please book your place at the meeting on the 4th April.
Many of you will have enjoyed our speaker last February, Kevin O'Neill who gave a talk on beekeeping. Kevin did not charge a fee for his talk, but asked that a donation be made to his charity of choice, Cure4Hayley.
